The WIZ-IP55 is a plug-and-play Ethernet network offload module that combines the W5500 hardwired TCP/IP chip with built-in PHY and an RJ45 connector with integrated network transformer. Housed in a compact MAG-JACK form factor (32.5 × 16.5 × 17.3 mm), the module exposes the SPI interface and control signals on a 2.54 mm pin header, allowing direct on-board integration with any host MCU. The W5500 implements a full hardware TCP/IP stack supporting TCP, UDP, ICMP, IPv4, ARP, IGMPv1/v2 and PPPoE, with 8 independent hardware sockets and a 32 kB send/receive buffer. The high-speed SPI interface (up to 80 MHz, modes 0/3) enables fast Ethernet integration with minimal host-MCU overhead. With an industrial operating temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C, the WIZ-IP55 is suited for embedded networking, IoT gateways and industrial connectivity applications.
