The Ethernet MKR shield eSE100 (Secure Sensor-to-Ethernet module) provides a secured communication channel between sensors and any network servers. The shield module is compatible with Arduino MKR host board where the shield is simply mounted on top of the host board via head pins. The module is powered by MS500, which is one of the most advanced security SoC's in the industry supporting the hardware-based security functions such as hardwired crypto engines, secure storage, and secure booting features. The module is pre-programmed with mbed TLS library optimized with the hardware crypto accelerators in MS500. Developers can use the module to access to cloud servers such as Microsoft Azure or AWS IoT Hub by adding the company provided API functions in the firmware. Applications of the product are variety of Ethernet area with security such as industrials, smart metering, light controls, smart factory automation, secure sensors and actuators. [Hardware highlights] The eSE100 module runs with ARM Cortex M0 at 96MHz with 4MB of internal flash memory and 64MB of SRAM memory. Developers can enjoy the 4MB flash space for holding even big size of user programs. The module comes with variety of IO interfaces such as I2C, UART, and SPI for sensor connection. The Ethernet connection is supported by W5500, the TCP/IP hardware chip from Wiznet.
